The universe is made up of natural laws. This article will go over twelve of them, which are universal and apply to all people in all places at all times. Understanding these laws can lead you to a happier life. The universe is filled with unlimited things, energies, and phenomena. These are the laws of the universe that can be described as universal rules which everyone should know.
Before knowing these universal laws, you must understand that the universe is really big. Despite this overwhelming vastness, some information, concepts, and laws apply to everything in existence. If you want to master something, then it’s important to learn about its origins. This would give us an idea of what our role is and help us find out how we can go beyond mere comprehension of stuff.
Every rule has an origin or authority behind it. Then again, these mysterious entities may exist because of some cosmic or extraterrestrial law, so maybe they share similar traits with humans after all.
At any rate, the world is filled with mysterious stuff, but it’s still full of hidden dangers too. So you should know about the universal laws to at least keep yourself out of harm’s way.

1. Law of Karma
All actions have consequences, either in this life or future lives. What goes around comes around. This sometimes means bad things happen to good people, but that is just because that is how the universe works. Ancient Indians formulated the hypothesis behind karma to explain why some people are lucky and others are not, even when there is no obvious difference between them.
The law of karma states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. You get what you give, whether it be positive or negative experiences in your life. As said earlier, “what goes around comes around.” This is so true because if someone does something nice for you, then somewhere down the line will return the favor or something nice. If someone does something mean to you, then somewhere down the line, you will return the favor and so on and so forth.
2. Law of Detachment
This law dictates that we should not get too attached to material things because they will ultimately be taken away from us. This can help people lower their stress levels as well as live a happy life if they know that bad things happen, but you have to let it go and move on with your life. It is also about knowing what things are really important in your life and what isn’t worth worrying about too much – which is where mindfulness comes into play. It says: “Don’t make every little thing a big thing.”
As humans, we tend to put everything above us and treat it as if it’s the most important thing in the world. The law of detachment shows us that some things don’t really matter, and it is important to let go of these thoughts so we do not settle with bad thoughts about what could have happened or should have happened.
3. Law of Increase
This law refers to the fact that you will receive more good things if you are a generally happy person who spreads positivity around them than if you were always complaining about everyone and everything, expecting life to hand you what you want. It is often summed up by saying, “If you love life, life will love you back.” The law of increase says that happier people live longer lives because they’re full of positive energy, which increases the immune system. When your immune system is boosted, you avoid getting sick as often, which means you live longer. Positive energy allows us to love life and attract happiness and positivity to our lives so we can keep spreading this positive energy around.
The Law of Increase is a metaphysical law that practically goes along the lines of “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” A simple way to explain it would be: if two objects are pushed together into one another, they will push away from each other.
The Law of Increase applies to many different areas, such as physics, chemistry, statistics in business or government, and so on. However, its most important application lies in the world of financial gain. When someone focuses his efforts on increasing wealth, he aligns himself with this Universal law. He puts forth effort by making what appear to be opposing forces work for him instead of against him.

4. Law of Attraction
This law applies to all living things – it’s the idea that “like attracts like.” Whatever you give your attention and focus on, you will attract more of into your life – whether it be good or bad. This is why people say that ignorance is bliss because if you know nothing, then there isn’t any room for bad things in your world.
The law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. It has also been described as the art of attracting into our lives whatever we are focusing on.
This concept has been linked with New Thought thinking and spirituality, where it originated around the 18th century. The idea proposed is that people attract into their lives what they give their attention, energy, and focus to, be it positive or negative.
It was also connected to early ideas of fate and karma because if someone believes something will happen, then it will happen if it’s a positive thing – therefore, he/she attracted it – but why doesn’t everyone have good things happening all the time? Well, maybe they are not being 100% positive about it, so they are also attracting the bad stuff.
In the same way, if person A believes that another person is not trustworthy or honest, then his/her thoughts will result in this person actually becoming less trustworthy and honest (if it’s possible) because what you focus on expands.
The law of attraction states that whatever we place our attention on, we draw toward us. Like energy attracts like energy, which can mean that if you constantly think about how bad your life is, then the universe will give you more negative things to complain about. On the other hand, if you are constantly grateful for what you already have, then more good things will come into your life.
5. Law of Resistance
This law explains that there’s no such thing as a “bad” coincidence; everything happens for a reason, and everything has its own timeline. So it’s not always possible to know why something happened today, but in six months or even six years from now, looking back on it will make sense. Life doesn’t happen to us; it happens around us.
The law of resistance tells us that there aren’t random coincidences in life because some things are meant to happen, whether good or bad. These experiences can be used to strengthen our lives and make us stronger people. When something bad happens, it is not the end of the world because one day, you will look back on it and understand why it happened.
6. Law of Reflection
This law states that “what goes around comes around” again, but in a slightly different way than the first law of universal laws. The law of reflection says that all actions have consequences which means that everything you do has an effect on others, even if it’s just making them feel uncomfortable or unhappy for a short amount of time.
It also says that what you put out into the universe will come back to you, so if you’re kind and generous to others, then you can expect more good things to happen to you.
The law of reflection states that when a light ray reflects off a surface, its reflected angle equals its incident angle. A common way to remember this is “angle respected by reflection” or “angles are equal by reflection.” These phrases refer to the fact that an imaginary line drawn perpendicular to the mirror at its center of curvature would reflect off at exactly the same angle as the incoming light ray.
So, for example, if you were looking into a mirror and saw your head tilted upwards with your face angled 45 degrees relative to your neck, you’d see in the mirror another person’s face also tilted upwards with their face angled 45 degrees relative to their neck, just as you’re seeing yourself.
Although the law of reflection can be used to predict many phenomena such as that a ball will bounce off a surface at the same angle that it struck, that a mirror has an image spot halfway between its center and its focus, and so on, it does not account for changes in polarization which is one reason why Huygens’s principle provides a simpler explanation of how wavefronts are related to spherical wavefronts.

7. Law of Cause and Effect
This law is about the fact that there are no random coincidences in life – everything happens because someone or something has acted upon it first. Even the smallest little thing has a big domino effect on what happens next. Your thoughts, feelings, and emotions are definitely taken into consideration by the universe when reacting to different situations, which means listening very carefully to your own thoughts can impact your future. It’s all about what you put out, not just what you get back.
The law of cause and effect states that everything in life has a cause, whether it’s you hurting someone else or the rain falling from the sky. Everything happens for a reason, and when you stop to analyze why something happened, you can make changes in your life which will help you avoid similar experiences in the future.
8. Law of Progress
This law tells us that there is nothing wrong with change but many times, change fear because we are unsure of what lies ahead. If you push through your fears, then you have already succeeded at becoming stronger than yesterday! This law says that change is inevitable, so whether you embrace it or fight it, keep moving forward towards improvement.
The law of progress demonstrates how good things come with time and patience because if one door closes, another opens. If you’re willing to wait for a better opportunity, then it will come! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark it may seem.
9. The Law of Sowing and Reaping
This law states that we reap what we sow; in other words, our present circumstances are a direct consequence of our past actions – both intentional and unintentional ones. In psychology, this law is known as cause-effect or karmic theory because it states that for every action, there is a reaction. This can also be positive or negative: a person who has a good relationship with his/her parents will most likely have a good relationship with their children; someone who hurts their loved ones is going to hurt them again through this law. The Law of Sowing and Reaping is an eternal spiritual law that governs the entire universe. It was first discovered by the ancient prophet named Malachi. He taught it to his people, but they failed to embrace this divine pattern within their lives.
The great Prophet Joseph Smith found this pattern in scripture and revealed it anew to mankind through the gospel of Jesus Christ restored through him (see D&C 130:20-21). This eternal pattern guarantees that God will bless us as we give service or other resources (seeds) to His kingdom, no matter how seemingly small our gift may be (see Mark 10:29-30; D&C 104:18-). Furthermore, if we neglect this pattern and withhold our own personal resources from God’s kingdom, we will experience a withdrawal of the Lord’s blessings in our lives.

10. Law of Progress
This law demonstrates that everything is constantly changing, which means that at one point, the only constant thing in your life will be YOU. Since you are always evolving, your thoughts and emotions should, too, because they change over time as well. Your old habits will soon become extinct because you are no longer the same person you once were; therefore, if something isn’t working anymore, then it’s time to let it go! The law of progress says that every day we make mistakes but taking responsibility for them is what makes us stronger people eventually.
11. Law of Choice
The law of choice tells us that there are many paths before us, but only one path leads to happiness. If you’re feeling lost or confused about where you are going in life, you need to stop and take the time to figure out what will truly make you happy. Everyone has different wants and needs, so don’t be afraid to take a break, calm down and think about what you would like to change in your life because that’s the first step towards reaching your goal.
In the book “The Law of Choice – A Memoir of Struggle, Resolution, and Triumph,” Amy Daczyczn describes how she was repeatedly raped as a child. In legal terms, this would be considered a case of child abuse. However, she later learned that she had been engaging in sexual behavior during what were supposed to have been random occurrences. She maintains that her actions could not have been consensual because she had no knowledge of sex at the time. Because what occurred with her older half-brothers cannot be considered rape under the law (especially since they were minors themselves), this is now known as incest. It is helpful to point out that there are very specific laws about incest in every state; these laws vary depending on the age of the parties, their relation to one another (half-siblings are often not included in incest laws), and whether or not they were related before birth.
The law of choice says that there are always options, but if we keep complaining about how things should be instead of accepting them for how they are, then we rob ourselves of satisfaction. We all know that if something is meant to happen, it will, but only once we make our thoughts clear on wanting something more.
12. Law of Connection
This law tells us that everything is connected, which means that no matter what, you should never underestimate the power of love! Love is what holds everything together, and it can change how we think, act and feel. If you’re feeling alone in your life, then just remember that everyone is connected, so take time to appreciate someone’s friendship or show your loved ones how important they are to you because tomorrow isn’t promised.
The law of connection demonstrates that you are responsible for other people’s happiness as much as they are responsible for yours. We all need each other, so if one person changes for the better, then their surrounding environment automatically becomes positive too. Remember that we live in a small world where negativity spreads fast, but when we work together towards a common goal, anything is possible.
Final thoughts
These principles have been around for thousands of years and can help us understand why things happen in our world. If anyone’s law resonates with you or if there is a specific principle that feels applicable to your life, take a moment to write it down on paper because these ancient truths are as relevant today as they were when they first came into existence. You might want to make this list somewhere easily accessible so you can return back to them whenever an event occurs which doesn’t seem like part of your everyday experience; you’ll be surprised how often those moments occur.
